Try Ellie Herman's studio in Brooklin - the Walk-ilates program. I did the teacher training program for Walk-ilates and it is a great workout and makes all those postural alignment cues make sense in everyday life.
I Watched Ellie Herman's program over the course of two years and noticed a substantal increase in the size of thighs and butts. If that is what you are looking for that is definitely the way to go!!!
Look up some of the history of exercise. Bernarr Macfadden was the first to start successful walking programs across the country. It is worth the google.

Wow, Stacey, an increase in thighs and butts? Was this an overall evaluation or a personal experience? I helped Ellie create the Walk-ilates program and have held walking classes and workshops in SF and all over the world for the last 7 years. My experience has been an increase in overall body balance, better body mechanics, decrease in pain and a decrease in size of thighs and butts--in some clients as a result of better body mechanics and increase in physical activity.

Bigger thighs and Butts from walking, maybe it's just tone that you are seeing rather than flab, because there in not a maximal overload in just walking to develop exponentially "Bigger legs and butts. After working for 30 years as Group Program Director for three fitness facilities, the only aerobic program I saw that increased the size of butts and thighs was Spinning.






Our studio is located in a very walkable part of town. In order to address the weight issues of some of our clients, we are wanting to begin a studio connected walking program. Has anyone tried this in their studio? We would enjoy hearing from you with details of your program.
